Still to come
Reilly had poor fine motor skills and did not know how to hold a pair of scissors. He was also very clumsy. Bed-wetting was also an issue with Reilly and we had tried many techniques to stop him wetting the bed without much success. When he would get stressed out he would just start crying and was inconsolable. I found that very frustrating.
Since chiropractic care at Vitae Health he is a much better listener, I do get him to repeat back to me if there are things that need to be done. There are less ants in his pants and he is much more aware that he needs to sit still in class.
A friend suggested Vitae Health. After the initial assessment Jonathan came up with a recommended treatment plan. He also helped me rate some of my current lifestyle parameters (fitness, flexibility, can I do the things I want to do?) and where I would like to be in the near future. I think my current rating was 4 or 5 out of 10. Naturally I wanted to aim for a 9 or 10.
After my initial course of treatment (3 visits per week for 6 weeks), I can report that back pain is now an insignificant part of my life. I do not think about protecting my back, nor do I think of myself as having a bad back anymore. I have gained flexibility and balance that I didn't know I could have. The chiropractic treatment (in partnership with a more active lifestyle) is giving me back my youth! I thought that back pain, stiffness and a lack of flexibility were symptoms of becoming middle-aged. They don't have to be. You don't have to live like that.
Age 62 (Chiropractic Care and Heart Rate Variability Biofeedback)
I have been aware over many years of having a fast heart beat and have at times suffered from periods of rapid heart palpitation. I have also suffered from high blood pressure for many years. It was my decision to cease taking prescriptive medication for this situation and I was looking for a natural alternative.
This programme showed my heart rate and breathing patterns. It made me aware of my pattern of breathing and how this can be re-trained to a healthier rate. The programme showed that my heart to actually missed several beats over a period of 10 minutes.
The change to a deeper, healthier breathing pattern is, at first, not an easy transition to make, however, after putting this new breathing into practice and five sessions of checking with the Biofeedback Programme, this breathing style has almost become my norm.
I now do not lose my breath during fast walking and jogging exercise and find that I have more energy in general. The instance of heart palpitations has reduced to nil and the instances of my missed heartbeats are also not so frequent.
